Petra Diamonds bursary programme is a company’s commitment to development and expansion of South Africa’s skills pool. The aim of the bursary help its student applicants to acquire qualifications required to build a sustainable career in the mining sector of our economy.
With Petra Diamonds bursaries you also get the opportunity to do your experiential training within the mining operations of the company.

Petra Diamonds Bursary Application Requirements
In order to submit your bursary application for Petra Diamonds bursaries, you must at least meet the following criteria:
You must be a South African citizen
You must be able to display interest in the mining sector and be driven to build a strong career in mining industry
If you are presently on Matric, you better make sure that you pass with exemption by obtaining six or seven on Mathematics and Science
Be prepared to work in areas where mines are normally located in South Africa
Petra Diamonds Bursary Value
The bursary will cover the following:
Yearly travel allowance
Annual cash allowance
Students on this bursary scheme will be required to work within the companies operations during December and January school holidays.
After completing your studies you will be required to work for Petra Diamonds at least the number of years you held the bursary.
If you are unable to complete your studies for one reason or another, you will be obliged to repay Petra Diamonds pay as according to the bursary contract.
